“Shots fired” was the call on November 13 at 1:40 pm. Coleman Brown Park was the scene of this incident, and arriving officers came upon a black man with a gunshot wound, inside of a vehicle.
The vehicle had collided with a fire hydrant. The victim was taken tp the hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Then, another report came in about another man suffering from a gunshot wound and was at another hospital. Deputies believe that the second victim is in some way related to the other shooting.
On January 6, 20-year-old Modesto resident Treviano Owens was arrested for the murder of 19-year-old Cedrick Miller, the victim in this incident.
Owens “was arrested after a lengthy investigation.”
