Multi-Agency Coordinated Operation Leads to Arrest of Wanted Suspect in Yuba City
SUTTER COUNTY, CA — A 38-year-old Marysville resident was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, following a multi-agency operation that concluded a series of pursuits and felony investigations across Sutter County.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU), supported by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office and the Yuba City Police Department, apprehended Allen Houck, who was subject to an outstanding felony warrant and wanted for violating Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS).
Investigators had linked Houck to several incidents beginning in July 2026. On July 27, police pursued a vehicle attributed to Houck, which was abandoned near the Yuba City Boat Docks containing a stolen firearm after the driver fled on an all-terrain vehicle. Houck was also named a suspect in an Oct. 3 burglary involving the theft of a gun safe, as well as separate vehicle pursuits on Oct. 11 and Oct. 17. The Oct. 17 incident involved speeds topping 100 mph and ended in a vehicle fire near Nicolaus Bridge, where an extensive multi-agency perimeter search failed to locate him.
On Oct. 21, law enforcement tracked Houck to Mike’s Mini Mart at Franklin and South Walton roads. During the contact, Houck repeatedly rammed an unmarked police vehicle before colliding with the storefront, disabling his car. Officers detained him after he resisted arrest. No officers or bystanders sustained injuries.
Investigators seized approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine during the arrest. After receiving medical clearance, Houck was booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges including assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, felony evading, burglary, grand theft, firearms and narcotics violations, resisting arrest, and PRCS violations.
