Solano County District Attorney Announces Murder Convictions for Two Gang Members
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — “This week in Department 15 of the Solano County Superior Court before the Honorable Bryan J. Kim, a jury found Defendants Danteon Jeffreys and Mario Johnson Guilty of Murder in the First Degree as well as Attempted Murder. The defendants were further found to have committed the crime for the benefit of a criminal street gang and to have personally discharged a firearm.
In early June 2019, rival Fairfield street gangs Real Fam 600 and HNIC committed a series of shootings that had left two people dead. Just around midnight on June 18, 2019, Defendant Jeffreys and Defendant Johnson—both Real Fam 600 members—drove into HNIC territory and discharged 51 gunshots at a car carrying victims Cameron Wittman, Deryle Adams, Jai East, Keon Harrison, Rodney Smith, and Antion Thomas. Cameron Wittman was struck and killed.
The defendants are scheduled to return to court on September 24, 2026, to set a date for Judgment and Sentencing where they will serve a mandatory life sentence in prison.
The case was investigated by Fairfield Police Sergeant Christopher Clatterbuck and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorneys Elaine Kuo and Alison Kennedy. District Attorney Victim Witness Advocate Dolores Arias provided support.”
