Flock Safety Cameras Help Identify Suspect in Commercial Robbery
COLUSA, CA – Colusa Police Department officers, aided by automated license plate readers, identified and facilitated the arrest of a suspect involved in an August commercial robbery and assault.
Officers responded at approximately 4:55 a.m. on August 24, 2026, to RHF Partnership LLC at 2881 Niagara Avenue following reports of an active robbery. Assisted by the Williams Police Department, officers secured the scene and provided aid to two victims who sustained injuries during the incident.
Preliminary findings revealed that roughly seven male suspects forced entry into the commercial facility, assaulted two workers, and stole processed, packaged marijuana before fleeing in two dark-colored vehicles. Investigators reviewed facility surveillance footage to obtain suspect profiles and vehicle descriptions.
Detectives utilized the Flock Safety camera network to track one of the getaway vehicles to Oakland. Additional camera imagery and collaboration with the Oakland Police Department led investigators to identify Maurice Lavaughn Ridley II as a primary suspect, resulting in an arrest warrant.
On September 6, 2026, the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Office notified Colusa authorities that San Francisco Police Department officers had arrested Ridley on the warrant.
