SFPD Arrests Four Suspects and Seizes 20,000 Counterfeit Pills Following Fatal Teen Overdose
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – San Francisco Police Department officers arrested four individuals and seized more than 20,000 counterfeit pills alongside multiple firearms following a narcotics investigation, Chief Derrick Lew announced Monday, September 14, 2026.
The months-long investigation originated on April 7, 2026, after officers responded to a Bush Street residence where a 16-year-old was found deceased from an overdose. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the victim died from a combination of substances, including cychlorphine, a synthetic opioid stronger than fentanyl.
Following controlled drug purchases, officers executed search warrants on September 8 and 9 across three San Francisco locations. On September 8, officers arrested 46-year-old Nicholas Wallace and 44-year-old Sharonee Hyson on the 700 block of O’Farrell Street, recovering suspected oxycodone, cocaine, cocaine base, and a loaded firearm.
On September 9, officers searched residences on Executive Park Boulevard and Newhall Avenue, arresting 46-year-old Leander Pitts and 39-year-old Starr Lamare. Officers confiscated over 20,000 pills—including suspected counterfeit Xanax, oxycodone, hydrocodone, cyclobenzaprine, and fentanyl—along with MDMA, heroin, two firearms, and $2,267. All four suspects were booked into San Francisco County Jail on narcotics and firearms charges.
