Riverside Police Arrest Three Following Narcotics Investigation at Riverside Inn and Suites

RIVERSIDE, CA — Officers with the Riverside Police Department arrested three men on narcotics and weapons charges during an early morning surveillance operation at a local motel on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.

At approximately 2:53 a.m., officers conducted surveillance at the Riverside Inn and Suites, located at 10705 Magnolia Ave., following reports of illegal narcotics activity. After observing high activity near a specific room, officers approached 33-year-old Riverside resident Chad Davis as he walked back to the area.

According to police, Davis discarded a bag upon noticing officers. Investigators recovered approximately 3.5 ounces of fentanyl and one ounce of methamphetamine from the bag. A subsequent search yielded two firearms, additional narcotics, and items associated with drug sales.

Detectives from the department’s Gang Unit joined the investigation, gathering information that led to search warrants for two additional rooms at the motel. The execution of those warrants resulted in the seizure of another 30 grams of methamphetamine.

Police arrested Chad Davis along with two other Riverside residents, identified as Travis Davis, and Mario Aguilar, 44, on various narcotics and weapons violations.

Department representatives stated that proactive enforcement along the Magnolia Corridor remains an ongoing priority.
