Fresno Police Arrest Attempted Burglary Suspect after Surveillance Catches Him on Roof of Business
FRESNO, CA — “On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at approximately 03:03 am, Northeast Policing District Police Officers responded to a business near East Shields Avenue and North Bond Street regarding a male wearing a ski mask being monitored on live surveillance while on the roof of the business. A Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was also deployed and officers were able to confirm through the UAV that the male wearing a ski mask and gloves was still on the roof of the building.
The subject, who was later identified as 28-year-old Gustavo Garcia, was seen running away, climbing down the building, and then fleeing from officers in an attempt to get away. Garcia’s attempt to flee was unsuccessful (thanks to the great teamwork of the security company, our officers, and the UAV).
Garcia was arrested for attempt burglary, resisting or delaying an officer, and committing a felony while out on bond. Garcia was booked into the Fresno County Jail.”
