Driver Arrested Following Vehicle Pursuit of White Porsche SUV and Spike Strip Deployment
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — July 31st, 2026 — “Yesterday morning, CHP officers attempted to make a stop on a white Porsche SUV on Freedom Blvd. for a traffic violation.
The Porsche failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. With the assistance of @scottsvalleypolicedepartment , they were able to deploy a spike strip on HWY 17, and the Porsche came to a stop.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from San Jose, was placed under arrest for felony evading, driving impaired, and possession of a controlled substance.
