Fullerton Police Department Arrests Suspect in Connection with Two Park Robberies

FULLERTON, CA —An investigation into a pair of armed robberies at a local public park earlier this year has resulted in the arrest of an adult male suspect, according to officials with the Fullerton Police Department.
The incidents occurred on April 24, 2026, and May 22, 2026, at a public park located near the intersection of North Harbor Boulevard and East Valley View Drive. In both instances, victims reported to law enforcement that they were approached by an individual and robbed at gunpoint. Because the suspect descriptions provided in both reports were similar, detectives with the department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit initiated a joint investigation and subsequently identified a primary suspect linked to both cases.
On July 31, 2026, patrol officers executed a traffic stop for an unrelated violation and contacted the individual. During the stop, officers recovered a replica firearm and observed evidence of drug-related offenses.
Following the traffic stop, Crimes Against Persons detectives interviewed the suspect, during which he acknowledged involvement in both robbery incidents. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and booked into jail on charges of armed robbery and narcotics violations.
