Multiple Suspects Arrested After Cannabis Facility Burglary & Multi-County Chase

SALINAS, CA — The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred at a cannabis greenhouse facility in the early morning hours of June 14, 2026. The incident led to multiple vehicle pursuits across county lines and resulted in the arrest of several suspects.

At approximately 4:00 AM, deputies received a report of an active burglary at a commercial greenhouse located in the 26800 block of Encinal Road in the Salinas region of Monterey County. The initial report indicated that multiple vehicles and armed individuals were participating in the theft.

Responding deputies intercepted vehicles matching the descriptions on Old Stage Road. When the vehicles failed to yield, law enforcement personnel initiated pursuits. The first vehicle fled through multiple jurisdictions before the California Highway Patrol stopped it in San Francisco. The second vehicle crashed and came to a stop near the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 129 in San Benito County.

Authorities confirmed that multiple individuals were taken into custody and stolen property was successfully recovered. The Salinas Police Department and the California Highway Patrol assisted with the pursuits and subsequent arrests. The investigation remains active, and officials have stated that no further details are currently available for release.
