Amador County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two in Car Wash Burglary at AMPM
AMADOR COUNTY, CA — Deputies with the Amador County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two individuals early Friday morning following a report of suspicious activity at a local business. The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. at an AMPM car wash facility, where law enforcement officials observed two subjects attempting to access a coin-operated machine.
The suspects, identified as 44 year old Eric Souza and 43 year old Kiyoko Glover, both residents of Sacramento, were taken into custody without incident. According to law enforcement records, both individuals have been booked into the Amador County Jail. The charges filed against Souza and Glover include burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of access cards. Additionally, the suspects face charges for possession of suspected methamphetamine and theft with two or more prior convictions.
The investigation began after an alert citizen contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the activity. Authorities noted that such property crimes impact both the local business community and area residents. The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that they will continue to investigate the matter and maintain accountability for such offenses. Officials also encouraged members of the public to report any suspicious behavior observed near businesses or car wash facilities to the Amador County Sheriff’s Office to assist in community safety efforts.
