“This morning around 8am, one of our Deputies noticed a black Acura driving in and out of several driveways along Ridge Road. When the driver of the Acura noticed he was being watched, he intentionally tried to avoid the Deputy, but ultimately got pulled over. The driver was identified as Salvador Rocha of Turlock, who had a felony warrant for his arrest, for assault with a deadly weapon.

Salvador was aware of the warrant, so when the Deputy approached him, he took off his shoes and ran from the car. We don’t know why he took his shoes off, but our Deputy was able to quickly catch up to Salvador, and after a brief struggle, arrest him.

When the vehicle was searched, several hypodermic needles were found, along with some burglary tools. Before taking him to jail, we let him put his shoes back on.”
