“On June 9, 2022, at approximately 6:40 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Ford F150 in the area of Spagnoli Mine Road and Bonnefoy Road in Pine Grove for a vehicle code violation.

During the investigation, it was determined the vehicle’s registration was expired for over a year. The deputy decided to have the vehicle towed due to the expired registration as well as issue the driver, identified as 38 year old Michael Lucas of Pioneer, a citation.

Lucas initially refused to exit the vehicle; however, he eventually complied. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded .22 caliber revolver near the driver’s seat, as well as suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

After a brief struggle with deputies, Lucas was arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail for resisting arrest as well as numerous weapon and drug violations.”
