Westminster Officers Seize Over 8 Ounces of Methamphetamine Following Pursuit of Reckless Driver
WESTMINSTER, CA-“On 4/16/2026, at approximately 1018 pm, WPD officers attempted to stop a reckless driver in the area of Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue when the vehicle fled. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle ultimately stopped in the area of Beach Boulevard and the 22 Freeway.
At the conclusion of the pursuit the driver refused to exit the vehicle but was taken into custody without incident.
WPD officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia, and more than 8 ounces (over 226 grams) of suspected methamphetamine. The driver was taken into custody for DUI, felony evading, and multiple felon drug sales related charges.
This is another instance of your WPD officers keeping the city of Westminster safe.”
