Suspect of 2019 Murder Arrested in Texas

A man has been arrested in relation to the 2019 murder of Eli Gamaliel Victoriano-Che that occurred in unincorporated Anaheim.

Ricardo Martin Campos, 31, was identified as the murder suspect after three years of investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Investigators. He was arrested on September 28th in Texas.

The murder took place on May 14, 2019. A little after 9:30 PM, deputies found 28-year-old Eli Gamaliel Victoriano-Che suffering from a gunshot wound inside a motor home located in the 8400 block of Augusta Drive in unincorporated Anaheim. Victoriano-Che was pronounced deceased after being taken to a hospital.

Following years of investigation into the incident, an arrest warrant was issued for Campos on September 26, 2022. Campos will be extradited back to Orange County to face murder charges.

Sheriff Don Barnes stated, “This arrest showcases the dedication the men and women of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department have to bringing those responsible for violent crimes to justice. The Sheriff’s Department is committed to bringing to justice those who do harm to our community, no matter how long it takes.”

The motive for the murder was not specified in the news release.”
