Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Hidden Gun Compartment and Arrest of Convicted Felon
FULLERTON, CA — Officers arrested a convicted felon and seized a loaded firearm during a morning traffic stop that uncovered a concealed vehicle compartment.
Officers initially initiated the traffic stop for a routine vehicle violation. During the inspection, law enforcement personnel discovered a hidden compartment built into the vehicle, which contained a loaded handgun.
Because the driver has a prior felony conviction, state law prohibits them from possessing firearms. Officers took the individual into custody without further incident.
The suspect was booked on one misdemeanor charge and seven felony counts, including multiple charges related to illegal firearm possession.
