SANTA ANA, CA — Officers responded to a local café following a report of an robbery at the establishment. According to an employee, a man and a woman entered the business, simulated possession of a firearm, and threatened to shoot the worker. The two individuals then proceeded behind the counter, where they removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and stole a laptop computer before fleeing the scene on foot.
Upon arrival, responding officers conducted a search of the surrounding area to locate the individuals involved. During the sweep, officers identified and apprehended both suspects. The individuals were identified as Brian Moran, 29, of Garden Grove, and Starla Collaso, 22, of Anaheim.
Following their arrest, both Moran and Collaso were transported and booked into the Santa Ana Jail. Law enforcement personnel successfully recovered the cash and the laptop computer stolen during the incident.
