Fatal Traffic Collision Reveals A Commercial Burglary’s Lost Pursuit

SANTA ANA – A fatal traffic collision involving a trio of burglars occurred on Tuesday. An OCS Deputy attempted a traffic stop before noon Tuesday on a suspicious vehicle in Tustin. As the driver, Ge’onte Ray Charles Sessions (20) of Los Angeles fled, a vehicle pursuit ensued toward the east end of Santa Ana.

Then the pursuit took a turn into oblivion.  The suspects lost the deputy in hot pursuit, until a 11 PM traffic collision call 11 hours later.  Several calls came in about a car slamming into a tree and igniting near 1600 E. Chestnut Ave. SAPD and Orange County Fire Authority gave quick response.

As a result, “OCFA personnel treated the driver, later identified as Ge’onte Sessions, and rear passenger Travon McNeil.”  First responders took the two to the OC Global Medical Center – Santa Ana.

“The front passenger, later identified as Luis Arreguin (19) of L. A., was pronounced deceased and was later extricated from the vehicle by OCFA using the jaws of life.”

SAPD’s Collision Investigation learned that Tustin PD was investigating a commercial burglary at Red Poppy Boutique at 640 W. First Street #D in Tustin. The suspect’s vehicle included merchandise reported stolen to investigators.
Alcohol or drugs may have played a role in this collision.

The Santa Ana Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is investigating the fatal traffic collision.The TPD and OCSD will investigate the commercial burglary and vehicle pursuit.
