Two Arrested Following Reported Armed Robbery in Live Oak

LIVE OAK, CA  — Deputies with the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported robbery in the 9700 block of Richard Avenue in Live Oak over the weekend. The victim stated that two individuals demanded money, with one suspect displaying a handgun. According to the report, the suspects took cash and a cellular phone before fleeing the area.

Following the incident, deputies conducted a search of Live Oak and Yuba City and issued an alert for the suspects and their vehicle. The vehicle was later identified traveling westbound on Highway 20. Personnel from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Colusa County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with Sutter County authorities to locate the subjects in the vicinity of Sycamore Road and Bister Road.

A CHP officer initiated a traffic stop and detained both individuals without incident. The suspects were subsequently booked into the Colusa County Jail.

Olivia Herrera, 36, of Live Oak, was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and making criminal threats. Paul Noonan, 41, also of Live Oak, was arrested for robbery, elder abuse, conspiracy to commit a crime, and making criminal threats. Sutter County officials credited the collaboration between regional law enforcement partners for the apprehension of the suspects.
