Dirt Bike Chase Ends in Visalia Walmart Parking Lot
VISALIA, CA– April 9th 2026 — “Yesterday around 7:45 PM, Visalia Police Department motor officers attempted to stop a dirt bike traveling westbound on Goshen Avenue from Mooney Boulevard. The rider, 21-year-old Raul Barriga, failed to yield and continued west on Goshen before turning north onto Demaree Street.
He eventually entered the Walmart parking lot, where he rode around in an attempt to get away. He quickly realized he would not be able to escape the officers. He then abandoned the bike and tried to run but was detained without incident.
Barriga was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on a charge of 2800.2 (felony evading). #visaliapd”
