CHP Arrests Oregon Man, 19, for Suspected Drunk Driving on I-5 in Yreka
YREKA, CA — The California Highway Patrol recently arrested a man from Eugene, Oregon, for suspect drunk driving on I-5 in Yreka.
According to a press release by the California Highway Patrol, their Yreka station received multiple 9-1-1 calls on the weekend of March 14 and 15 regarding a reckless driver heading southbound from the Oregon border.
CHP officers intercepted the vehicle and detained the driver, who was allegedly found to have a blood-alcohol level of three times the legal limit.
The driver, 19, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol has not released the individual’s name.
