Sutter Creek Business Owner Arrested Following Narcotics Investigation
SUTTER CREEK, CA — The Amador County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division recently received information regarding a local business suspected of selling marijuana and THC products. Under current regulations, the sale of THC-containing marijuana products is not permitted within Amador County. In response to these reports, the Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement Team (ACCNET) initiated an investigation in coordination with the Sutter Creek Police Department. The Sutter Creek Police Department had previously received a similar complaint involving the alleged sale of THC products to minors at the establishment.
Following the joint investigation, ACCNET and the Sutter Creek Police Department served a search warrant at the business located in the City of Sutter Creek. During the execution of the warrant, investigators located a quantity of marijuana and THC products, along with other controlled substances. Authorities determined that these items were possessed for the purpose of sale. Consequently, the owner of the business was arrested on multiple drug-related charges.
The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the collaborative efforts of several partner agencies involved in the case, including the Sutter Creek Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, and the Amador County District Attorney’s Office. Assistance was also provided by the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, the California Department of Public Health, and the Department of Cannabis Control. Officials noted that tips from the community continue to be investigated by both the Patrol and Investigations Divisions.
