Winton Elementary School Staff Member Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Allegations
WINTON, CA — “In the afternoon of March 11, 2026, Deputies were notified by school officials of a possible child sexual assault by a Student Supervisor at Sybil Crookham Elementary School in Winton.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Edward Parsons of Winton, allegedly sexually assaulted three female juveniles, one aged 9 years old and two aged 10 years old.
Parsons was arrested in the early hours of March 12, 2026. Parsons was booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Jail on three counts of felony lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14.
This investigation remains ongoing, and Detectives believe there could be additional victims.
