Community Assistance Leads to Weapons Seizure and Arrests in E Street Parking Lot
DAVIS, CA — MARCH 4TH 2026
“On February 28, 2026 at 11:30 PM, two callers reported several men causing a disturbance in the E Street parking lot. One of the men was reported to have brandished a rifle that had been hidden in his pants. The men left the area in a vehicle, and updates were provided to the responding officers by one of the callers.
Officers were able to use the updates to
locate the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. Four men inside the car were detained. During a search of the vehicle, officers located the rifle which was loaded with a high-capacity magazine. Officers also found a handgun with an extended magazine in the possession of one of the occupants. Two of the men were arrested on various weapons charges and felony warrants.
This is an excellent example of community members working proactively with the Police to help ensure public safety. Thank you to those who alerted us to this dangerous situation.”
