Siskiyou County Authorities Reportedly Seize 61 Pounds of Meth During Traffic Stop

SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA — “On February 19, 2026 at approximately 1330 hours, a Siskiyou County Sheriff Sergeant from the Domestic Highway Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Kia Optima for multiple violations. During the course of the traffic stop, numerous criminal indicators were observed leading to a search of the vehicle.

In the ensuing search, approximately 61 pounds of methamphetamine were located in the trunk of the Kia. One arrest was made on a 40 year old male subject out of Anaheim, California for felony possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale. The man was then transported to and subsequently booked in the Siskiyou County Jail.”
