Two Arrested in Connection with Early November Shooting in Madera

MADERA, CA — “On November 8, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., MPD Officers responded to Rancho San Miguel regarding a robbery in which the victim was shot during the encounter with the suspect. The Investigations Unit obtained witness statements, video surveillance, and additional evidence from the scene, which led them to a residence within the city where a search warrant was served.

During the service of the search warrant, officers recovered a handgun similar to the one used in the incident, cash, and other items connected to the robbery. The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Ismael Farias and 21-year-old Anthony Juarez. On November 13, 2025, both suspects were arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on several felony charges.
