Oakhurst Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder

An arrest was made in Oakhurst last Wednesday after an alleged murder attempt.

According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, 25-year-old Kaicey Marie Nelson was apprehended on one count of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant and one count of attempted murder. She was booked at Madera County Jail just after 10:30 PM.

According to the MCDC report, Nelson works at the Hitching Post, a bar and grill located in the nearby town of Ahwanee. This is not her first arrest. She was also apprehended in December for an out-of-county warrant and for drunk and disorderly conduct. The circumstances surrounding this arrest, or the identity of the alleged victim, are unclear.

She is not eligible for bail.
