What began as a quiet afternoon at the Ojai Skateboard Park on November 24 turned uneasy
when a concerned resident spotted three people drinking and using narcotics inside a parked
vehicle while children played nearby.

The call brought Ojai Police Department deputies, along
with West County patrol units and the Ventura County Sheriff’s K9 team, to the crowded lot
shortly after 1:30 p.m.

According to VCSD spokesman Deputy Chad Jones, deputies found the trio “inside the vehicle”
and identified them as Colin Morisi, 37, Olivia Johnson, 27, and Nicholas Garza, 33, all from
Los Angeles. While speaking with them, deputies noticed “an open container of alcohol and
items that looked like drug paraphernalia.”

The deputies detained all three individuals and asked them to step out of their vehicle. A search
of the vehicle uncovered “a sizable stash of counterfeit pills and other narcotics” that included
“879 fake Adderall tablets, 722 counterfeit Oxycodone pills, about 7 grams of ketamine, a gram
of cocaine and 14 counterfeit Xanax pills.”

According to Jones, “many of the pills resembled Oxycodone tablets stamped with the marking
‘M-30,’commonly referred to as Mexican Blues and often linked to fentanyl.”

All three suspects were taken into custody and transported to Ventura County Jail, where they
were booked on charges of possession of controlled substances for sale, possession of a
controlled substance for sale under a separate code section, being under the influence of a
controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a crime.
