Livermore police arrested Chirinos on December 3 at 11:58 a.m. He was apprehended while
driving the victim’s vehicle in San Francisco, with help from plain clothes San Francisco
police. Chirinos is ineligible for release on bond.
Ten felony charges were filed against Chirinos on December 5. His charges include murder,
and use of a deadly weapon to harm a vulnerable victim.
Chirinos and the 55-year-old victim previously shared a residence on the 1000 block of North
P Street in Livermore. Suspicions were aroused because no one had seen or heard from the
victim since November 28.
The suspect and victim were still living together then.
Police went to the residence on the morning of December 3 to conduct a welfare check. Upon
arrival, officers found the victim dead with stab wounds.
Chirinos is a felon with an “extensive criminal history,” according to a prepared statement from
Livermore police. “He has prior arrests for DUI, assault, domestic violence, and false
imprisonment in both Florida and Texas. He also has an active warrant out for Florida for
battery and violation of probation.”
