Police Capture 2 Burglary Suspects Based on Neighbor’s Tip

Piedmont police arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of burglary Wednesday after a local resident reported seeing a suspicious person leaving the backyard of a neighbor’s home, according to a Piedmont Police Department press release issued Thursday afternoon.

Police officers converged on the 100 block of Scenic Avenue about 11 a.m. and Officer David Cutler spotted a person matching the neighbor’s description getting into a vehicle nearby, police said.

Eriberto Montano, 34, and Simone Aguilar, 40, were arrested and later jailed at the Glenn Dyer Detention Facility in Oakland, the press release said.
