BRENTWOOD — Police encountered an habitual offender during a traffic stop for a vehicle code
violation.
The driver Georgia Lee Malone, 49, of Pittsburg, was arrested and booked for multiple
felonies on December 2.
“Malone was found to be a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm, drugs and a scale,”
Brentwood police said in a prepared statement. Plus, she had in her possession a fake identification
card.
At first glance, it appeared she was carrying a large quantity of cash. It turns out it was a large quantity
of plastic baggies, which were printed to look like $20 bills.
Malone was booked for multiple firearms-related charges. She was booked for carrying a loaded
firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, and addict in possession of a firearm. She was also booked for
possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. In addition, she also faces a charge for possession
of a forged driver’s license or ID.
Regarding the drugs recovered, Malone was booked for possession of a controlled substance with two
or more prior convictions. If convicted she faces enhanced penalties for having a history of convictions
for similar offenses.
Malone remains in custody at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond, in lieu of $220,000
bond.
This year Malone has been arrested four times. Her other arrests this year involve petty theft,
shoplifting, and possession of an open container of alcohol. Last year, she was arrested for receiving
stolen property, petty theft, and DUI alcohol/drugs.
