Antioch P.D. arrests two on charges of Marijuana Cultivation

ANTIOCH – On July 7, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Antioch patrol officers responded to a report of a possible marijuana grow house located on the 5200 block of Delta View Way.  Upon arrival, police discovered Yaoying Yang, 44, of San Francisco and Jincheng Ye, 48, of Oakland at the residence which they had allegedly transformed for the purposes of a marijuana cultivation.

Patrol officers alerted investigators who searched the residence and, in due time, they confiscated  about 300 plants from the home.  Investigators additionally annexed over 100 lbs. of processed marijuana which has a street value of about $300,000.

Both men were transported to the County Jail in Martinez on charges of planting and growing illicit marijuana.   The case is still undergoing investigation by the Antioch Police Dept.’s Special Operations Unit.
