SAN PABLO — Two men face charges in connection with an armed robbery of a customer outside a jewelry store. A Rolex wristwatch with a $45,000 retail value robbed from the victim was returned to its rightful owner.

The robbery occurred in front of H. Bee Jewelry at San Pablo Towne Center on March 3 at 4:19 p.m. One suspect observed the victim inside the store, wearing a Rolex wristwatch. He alerted the second suspect armed with an AR-15 style pistol, who confronted the victim leaving the store.

Investigators identified Timothy Harvey-Kinsey, 19, of Vallejo, and Christopher A. Salmeron, 26, of San Francisco as the two suspects. They allegedly drove together to the store and fled with the Rolex, before responding officers arrived at the crime scene.

Surveillance camera videos from the store and surrounding areas helped San Pablo detectives identify the suspects. The alleged lookout Salmeron was recorded on video inside the jewelry store.

On April 5, San Pablo detectives served a search warrant at Kinsey-Harvey’s residence on Rockwood Court in Vallejo. Harvey-Kinsey was in possession of the firearm believed used in the robbery, and he was placed under arrest. Salmeron was arrested the same day at his China Basin Street residence in San Francisco.

The Contra Costa Safe Streets Task Force participated in both law enforcement actions. The task force is comprised of local law enforcement agencies, California Highway Patrol, and the FBI.

Harvey-Kinsey and Salmeron each face charges of second-degree robbery, and a special allegation for committing a felony armed with a firearm. The investigation remains active and anyone with information can call the San Pablo PD investigations unit at 510-215-3150.
