Chico Man Arrested for Alleged Narcotics Sales, Possession of Ghost Gun
CHICO, CA — “On November 19, 2025, Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Gilberto Corona, age 38 of Chico, located in the 800 block of East 19th Street, Chico.
Prior to executing the search warrant, detectives made contact with Corona after he exited a business near East Avenue and Esplanade, Chico. Detectives searched Corona’s vehicle, which was parked in front of the business and located the following items:
- Over two ounces of methamphetamine
- A digital scale
- A Glock-style semi-automatic “Ghost Gun” handgun
- A gun holster
- Empty ammunition magazines
Corona was placed under arrest for the following felony charges:
- 29180 PC: Being addicted to narcotics and possessing a firearm
- 29800(a)(1) PC: Being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm
- 11379(a) HS: Transporting a controlled substance
- 11378(a) HS: Possession of a controlled substance for sale
- 11370.1 HS: Possession of a controlled substance while armed”
