Fairfield Police Arrest Man for Allegedly Discharging Firearm in Public

FAIRFIELD, CA — December 1st 2025 — “This evening at approximately 6:23pm, Fairfield Police Dispatch received a report of a disturbance occurring in the 1600 block of Travion Court.

At the same time, a Fairfield Police Officer made a traffic enforcement stop for an unrelated violation in the same area.

Residents in the area then advised that the original disturbance now involved a gun. As a second officer arrived on scene, he witnessed a suspect pull out a gun and fire several rounds while standing in the middle of the street.

No one was struck by the gunfire and the suspect immediately fled.

Fairfield Police, as well as officers from California Highway Patrol, Suisun Police Department, Vacaville Police Department, and deputies from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office all responded to assist.

A CHP helicopter located the suspect hiding in a nearby field. Officers were able to safely contact the suspect and take him into custody without further incident.

There is no threat to the public at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Additional details will be forthcoming.”
