On March 6 a large group of people attempted to participate in a sideshow, and the Fairfield Police department attempted to break it up.

Officers entered parking lots and encouraged vehicles to get onto the freeway.

The group of people then “staged in Vacaville” before heading back to Fairfield.

Around 10:24 p.m., 23-year-old Christian Placencia unsafely passed on Vanden Road and hit an unrelated vehicle head-on.

The group drove on through Suison and staged on Highway 12, in spite of the serious accident behind them.

Several hundred people shut down Pennsylvania and Highway 12

As officers attempted to disperse the crowd, they “threw objects and shined a laser at officers.”

The group drove on west on 80 out of Fairfield.

Back at the accident, Placencia’s injuries were minor but his female passenger suffered major injuries. Both are expected to recover.

“Upon recovery, Christian Placencia is facing numerous chargers to include a felony for reckless driving causing injury.”
