OAKLAND, CA — William Mustang (alias William Mustain), 51, of Oakland, has been arrested
again—his third arrest this year for alleged drug trafficking.

Mustang remains in custody in lieu of $550,000 bond, pending arraignment on November 19.

The Alameda County Narcotics Task Force has conducted ongoing investigations of Mustang,
involving multiple law enforcement agencies.

He was arrested twice in August for possession of illicit drugs for sale. Mustang, a convicted felon, was twice released on bail, prior to his
latest arrest.

“On November 6 detectives attempted to contact Mustang,” according to a prepared
statement from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. “He discarded a grocery bag containing
narcotics packaged for sale before being detained.”

Mustang allegedly sells drugs in East Oakland. The narcotics task force received “numerous
complaints” about a man suspected of selling illicit drugs from his vehicle.

Warrants were obtained to arrest Mustang, search his residence, and associated properties in
Oakland and San Leandro.

“This resulted in the seizure of approximately 12 kilograms of heroin, 2 kilograms of cocaine, and one kilogram of methamphetamine. Six handguns, two
rifles and $475,000 were also recovered.”

Mustang most recent arrest was on November 6 at 9:30 a.m. He booked into Alameda
County Santa Rita Jail. Charges filed against Mustang include

· Possession of cocaine base for sale
· Possession of a controlled substance for sale
· Possession of a large quantity of contraband
· Armed with a firearm during drug-related felony
