Ione Man Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit and Standoff Following Wildflower Subdivision Vandalism
LONE, CA – “On 10/24/25 at 7:40 pm, Ione Police Officers were dispatched to a subject slashing tires in the Wildflower subdivision. While officers were responding, dispatch advised them that the suspect was now following the reporting party. Officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle. Officers arrived in the area to contact the reporting party and observed the suspect vehicle on Clover Drive. Officers attempted a traffic enforcement stop.
The suspect failed to yield, and a short vehicle pursuit occurred. The vehicle proceeded through the Wildflower subdivision and pulled into a garage on Lupine Drive. The suspect fled the vehicle and ran into the residence. Officers requested additional resources, including a K9 and a helicopter. It was determined that the suspect lived at the residence, and officers attempted to make contact. Another occupant of the residence was called out for his safety. The residence was searched at the owner’s request, and the suspect was found in a locked bedroom.
Officers took the suspect into custody at 10:49 pm. without further incident. Robert Turner from Ione was booked into the Amador County Jail on multiple charges, including felony vandalism, fleeing a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
