“On December 10, 2020, one of our deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Toyota Corolla and learned that the passenger in the vehicle was on Amador County Probation.
K9 Zidan and his handler arrived on the scene shortly after to assist, which is when K9 Zidan alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Deputies located more than 69 grams of methamphetamine, packaging material, and a large amount of cash. Barry Standridge and James Welborn were arrested on scene for possession of methamphetamine for sales.
Based on what was found during the car stop, agents from the Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from the Jackson Police Department and Amador County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Barry Standridge’s residence in Jackson.
During the service of the search warrant, ACCNET agents located more than 8 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of heroin, digital scales, packaging materials, a Butane Honey Oil laboratory, and 10 firearms, one of which was a fully automatic rifle.
ACCNET agents arrested the homeowner, Alan Velez for numerous narcotic and firearm related charges.”
