SACRAMENTO, CA – October 30th, 2025 –– “Two brothers and known Howe Park Sureno gang members, Adam and Juan Velasquez, were convicted of violently attacking an innocent man in an unprovoked assault.
The victim was blindsided, knocked unconscious, and seriously injured, simply because they perceived him as a rival. While both were both arrested for felonies, Juan was granted Mental Health Diversion instead of jail time.
This May (while out on probation), the two struck again, this time confronting another innocent man just trying to have dinner with his family at a local restaurant.
The suspects shouted gang slurs, attempted to assault and stab the victim with a knife, and then slashed his tires before fleeing.
Yet again, the victim had no gang affiliation, and the attack was completely unprovoked.
Adam was arrested in August, and Juan was located and arrested this evening by Gang detectives.”
