YUBA CITY, CA — A 29 year old Marysville man was arrested Tuesday, October 21st 2025, in connection with a vehicle burglary that recently occurred on Circassian Avenue in Yuba City. The arrest followed an investigation initiated by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office.
The case began after a victim reported to a Sheriff’s Community Service Officer that their vehicle had been broken into. The report detailed the theft of a backpack containing high-end sunglasses and other personal items.
The Sutter County Sheriff’s Investigation Unit was assigned to the case and subsequently identified the suspect as Michael Johnson, 29, of Marysville. Further investigation by detectives led to the location of Johnson and his vehicle. During the contact, investigators recovered the stolen property belonging to the victim.
Johnson was taken into custody and booked into the Sutter County Jail. He faces multiple charges related to theft, including consideration of prior offenses.
The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office utilized the media release to remind local residents to secure their vehicles, avoid leaving valuable items visible inside, and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
