Sonora Police Arrest Two for Alleged Felony Theft

SONORA, CA — “At approximately 9:35 pm, on Thursday, October 9,2025, officers were on foot doing a patrol check at Walmart when staff advised the officers of a push out that just occurred on the east side of the building. The two females, later identified as 55 year old April Crosby and Jolie Esposito, got into a white Kia Sorento and left the area and headed towards Jamba Juice. Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office later located the vehicle at South Washington and 108 after hearing our radio traffic. TCSO soon conducted a traffic stop in that vehicle.

Jolie Marlene was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for felony theft with two or more prior convictions, conspiracy to commit a crime, and unlawful possession of pepper spray/tear gas.

April Crosby was also booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for misdemeanor shoplifting and conspiracy to commit a crime.”
