Man Arrested in Connection with Father’s Death After Reported Fight in Fresno

FRESNO, CA — “On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at approximately 8:10 pm, Northeast District officers were dispatched to a residence in the area of North Barton Avenue and East Quincy Avenue regarding a reported disturbance. The caller, later identified as 69-year-old Perry Michael Huffman, reported to the 911 dispatcher that he had been involved in a physical fight with another male inside the residence.

When officers arrived, Perry M. Huffman peacefully exited the residence and was detained.

After entering the home, officers located the decedent, 90-year-old Perry Leon Huffman, unresponsive on the ground. It appeared he suffered severe trauma to his body. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, he was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives determined that the decedent was the suspect’s father and that Perry M. Huffman was visiting from out of state.

Although an arrest has been made, Detectives are asking that anyone with information about this case contact the Fresno Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).
