Cabazon, CA – On October 8, 2025, at approximately 2:11 p.m., deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 49000 block of Seminole Drive in Cabazon.
Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They provided medical aid until paramedics arrived, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Through their investigation, deputies identified the suspect as 43-year-old Anthony Edward Cuenca of Chino Hills. A short time later, deputies located Cuenca’s vehicle near the intersection of Seminole Drive and Malki Road. He was taken into custody without further incident.

The Cabazon Investigations Bureau has assumed responsibility for the case. Authorities state that the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details are currently available.
