Corona Man Arrested on Threats & Weapons Charges

“On Tuesday, 1-30-2024, at 2:12 P.M., officers were conducting an area check in the 100 block of N. Cota Street, looking for a man wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.  Our officers located the wanted man, 37-year-old Corona resident Juan Chavez, walking in the street holding a sawed-off shotgun.  Upon our officer’s orders, Juan surrendered and was arrested for the listed crimes.  Before his arrest, Juan was previously released from custody and placed on post-release community supervision for a prior offense he was convicted of.”
