Rialto Police Arrest Suspect in $50,000 Real Estate Fraud Case

RIALTO, CA  — ‘In May 2025, the Rialto Police Department received a report of real estate fraud incident from January 2024. The suspect, 40-year-old Rigoberto Pineda Torres, a resident of Perris, posed as the owner of a mobile home and sold it to the victim despite having no legal rights to the property. Over the course of several months, the victim paid Torres $50,000 believing the transaction was legitimate.

On 09/10/2025, the Rialto Police Department’s Detective Bureau located Torres and arrested him without incident. He was later booked at the West Valley Detention Center on multiple theft charges.

Thanks to the persistence and thorough investigative work of our Detective Bureau, the case was successfully resolved.”
