Two Juveniles Arrested After Online School Threat at Nevada Union High School

GRASS VALLEY, CA  — The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested two 17-year-old juveniles on October 1 in connection with an online threat involving a firearm at Nevada Union High School (NUHS). Both individuals have been taken into custody.

The incident began on the morning of October 1 when a concerned parent reported a threat of violence to the school administration. An NCSO School Resource Officer (SRO) was immediately alerted, prompting deputies and detectives to initiate an investigation in close partnership with school officials. Authorities utilized a variety of investigative tools to identify and locate two suspects of interest.

The first juvenile arrested is a male student enrolled at NUHS, facing alleged charges of criminal threats and conspiracy to commit crime. The second juvenile is a female who does not attend NUHS and was arrested for alleged conspiracy to commit crime.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that all students and faculty remained safe on campus throughout the incident and that staff presence was maintained at the school. Authorities currently state there is no known further threat related to this matter.
