TRUCKEE — Police have arrested a Coalinga man on suspicion of hit-and-run in a stolen vehicle following a tip from a witness.

On Monday, September 30, a person watched as a car being driven by 39-year-old Timothy Holeman collided with another, then fled the scene.

The witness was able to take down the plate number and passed it on to police, who discovered the car had been reported stolen out of Chico.

Police quickly spotted the vehicle on Truckee Way and Glenshire Drive and conducted a high-risk stop, detaining Holeman and ultimately arresting him on suspicion of possession of stolen property, hit-and-run, driving on a suspended license, and felon in possession of ammunition.

Holeman had also been riding with a passenger, who was released at the scene with no charges.
