FOLSOM, CA — An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on May 28th 2025 at the intersection of Golf Links Drive and East Natoma Street. The collision resulted in the death of one driver. No arrests were made at the time.
The Folsom Police Department’s Major Accident Response Team (MART) conducted an investigation into the incident. The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene after being found unconscious and not breathing. The second driver remained at the location following the collision.
The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office recently issued an arrest warrant for a 20 year old Folsom resident by the name of Elijah Zackney, in relation to the incident. Zackney faces a charge of Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence, identified under California Penal Code 192(c)(1). He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
Authorities previously stated that the identities of the deceased would be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin were notified. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
