Sonora Man Arrested for Alleged Battery, Unlawful Possession of Weapon

SONORA, CA — “39-year-old Christopher M. Hall of Sonora was arrested Sunday for felony weapon possession charges.

At approximately 9:17 pm on Sunday, July 27, officers responded to the 300 block of Fairview Lane on a report of an assault. As a result of the investigation, Hall was determined to be the aggressor and placed under arrest. Further investigation resulted in officers seizing an unserialized AR-15 as well as a high-capacity magazine. In 2022, California AB 1621 made possession of unserialized firearms, Ghost Guns, a felony offense. High-capacity magazines are a misdemeanor to possess, transfer, or sell in California.
